One I'd carried since childhood, quietly waiting for the right moment.

In 2010, I moved to New Zealand. Life shifted. I became a full-time mum to three incredible kids, and for years, that was my entire world. But that dream never faded. It whispered in the background — reminding me that I wanted something for myself too. Something I could build, grow, and be genuinely proud of.

Baking was always my constant. I spent years experimenting, learning, chasing trends — especially those chunky New York–style cookies everyone raved about. I was obsessed with finding the perfect one. But at home, my husband never shared the enthusiasm. He always preferred them flat.

Then one day, everything changed. By accident.

I baked a batch like usual and forgot to make his flat ones. Instead of starting over, I pressed them after baking.

That single moment changed everything.

Crispy edges. Soft, rich centre. Chocolate in every bite.

They weren't meant to look perfect — and that became the whole point.
